How it works

IcuSync coach access lets athletes share their training data with their coach through Claude AI. Your athletes invite you by email from their IcuSync dashboard. You receive a single MCP URL. Add it to Claude as a custom connector and you can immediately start working with their data.

Key details

  • No IcuSync account needed. Your athletes hold the subscription. You connect via a token they grant you.
  • One URL covers all your athletes. If multiple athletes invite the same email, your single MCP URL gives access to all of them.
  • Athlete-controlled permissions. Each athlete chooses which tools you can access and can revoke access at any time from their dashboard.
  • Works on any Claude plan. The free plan includes one custom connector slot, which you can use for IcuSync coach access. Paid plans (Pro, Max, Team) give you additional connector slots.
  • Also an IcuSync subscriber yourself? If you have your own IcuSync account and train as well as coach, log in to your IcuSync dashboard and send a coach invite to your own coach email address. Then ask each of your athletes to do the same. Once set up, replace your Claude connector URL with your coach token URL instead of your athlete token. Your coach token covers both your own training data and all your coached athletes in one place. Just use select_athlete in Claude to move between yourself and your athletes.

How to add the connector in Claude

Step by step
  1. 1Open Claude on the web (claude.ai) or desktop app and go to Customize. Once added there, the connector syncs automatically to the Claude mobile app.
  2. 2Click the + button next to Connectors to add a Custom connector
  3. 3Paste the MCP URL from your invite email and save
  4. 4Start a new chat, then ask Claude to list your athletes
  5. 5Tell Claude which athlete you want to work with using select_athlete

Heads up before connecting

Claude may briefly show a warning that it couldn't reach the IcuSync server when you add or re-add the connector. This is expected and clears on its own. If IcuSync appears in your Connectors list, your connection is working.

Sends your existing MCP URL back to your email. Your token does not change.
